-What does Ji Yong Kwan mean – 智勇館?
School of Intelligence and Bravery. A rough translation is as follows: Ji (智) means intelligence, Yong (勇) translates to bravery, and Kwan (館) means school, center, house, or institute.
-Do I have to be very flexible to start training?
No, flexibility will increase with training.
-What ages can train?
We teach both children and adults.
-Do I need previous experience in martial arts?
We train students of all levels, including beginners with no previous martial arts training.
-Do I have to already be in good shape to train?
No. In class we train you in conditioning to build up the strength needed to execute the moves.
-Why should I train with you?
You will gain so much from training: both mental and physical strength and flexibility, discipline, patience, balance, perseverance, and knowledge. Our school is unique because our Instructor, Ali Al-Nasser, has trained in Korea with some of the highest ranked Korean martial artists in the world.
-What should I wear?
We have school uniforms available for sale, but for your first class please wear comfortable sportswear (pants and t-shirt).
